Getting to the island
The terminal is on the mainland.
Billy Bishop confuses first-timers because the runway is on an island but check-in is not. Your chauffeur drops you at the mainland terminal at the foot of Bathurst Street, where you clear security and take the pedestrian tunnel or the ferry across.
Allow ten minutes for the tunnel — it runs continuously and the walk is short, but the escalators at either end take longer than the distance suggests. Porter recommends arriving sixty to ninety minutes before departure, which is considerably less than Pearson.
For arrivals, the chauffeur waits at the mainland terminal after you cross back. Sixty minutes of free wait applies here too, though YTZ rarely needs it — bags come off fast at an airport this size.

Where exactly do you drop off for Billy Bishop?
